The five Dionne sisters, Emilie, Marie, Yvonne, Cecile and Annette were born on May 28, 1934. The quintuplets quickly caught the world’s attention and formed part of the Canadian identity. But the intervention by the Ontario Government had long lasting consequences for the sisters. The last surviving sister, Annette, passed away on December 24, 2025.
